My Retirement Education Center is offering its Social Security Optimization Classes in communities around the state to help North Carolinians better understand Social Security. The Social Security Optimization class specifically is aimed at helping individuals get the absolute most from their benefits and includes providing a detailed personal report on how and when to file considering special situations, such as the death of a spouse or divorce.
The class provides a basic overview of Social Security fundamentals, such as how it works as part of a complete retirement income plan, how to integrate a spouse’s income and how to manage cash flow to accommodate times before starting to receive benefits. Additionally, the Social Security Optimization class provides each participant with a detailed analysis of their personal situation, including consideration of every available option. In the end, every participant gets a definitive answer on when to file to get the highest benefit and what forms need to be completed by what dates in order to do so.
Each one-hour Social Security Optimization class will cost $50 for a couple or an individual.
