Richard is the founding principal of Richard Newton & Associates. He has worked in the Trust and Family Office Business for more than 25 years. He served in several positions for the Trust and Wealth Management Division of a large national bank for 20 years prior to pursuing a different vocational calling in the creation of Richard Newton & Associates.
The mission of Richard Newton & Associates is to help families better manage their relationships and their relationship to their resources. His experience includes building, managing, selling and administering Trust and Wealth Management services for families and individuals. Richard Newton & Associates provides trust and family office consulting to individuals, families, charities, advisors and financial institutions.
Richard is a faculty member at the Southeastern Trust School and a Board member of the Trust Education Foundation at Campbell University. He also has been a guest lecturer in Campbell University’s Trust Program, Wealth Managers Forum and the Trust Advisors Forum.
He resides in Raleigh, North Carolina, with his wife Elaine and daughters Elizabeth, a senior at UNC Wilmington, and Emily, a high school senior. They are all involved extensively at Providence Baptist Church where Richard leads in bible study, Sunday school, student ministries and as an elder. Richard also serves his alma mater, Campbell University, through the Trust Education Foundation, Alumni Board and various other areas related to the Lundy Fetterman School of Business.
